London's cutting pink with knives showcase 3 tracks of their snotty headache-inducing digital emogrindcore that will delight and appall in equal measure. the artwork for this has to be seen to be believed.

(RETARDS) - "kicking against the micks" (RIMBAUD) - 4e, 230 den.
'An exhilarating force tracing insidious melodies', 'punishment from god', 'rattling my skull', 'no wave singalong', 'brutal, unforgiving and unsatisfying'. Bracket.Retards.Bracket put us to the challange with their first release on Rimbaud records and the 5th release by the band after their 'Fourth wall glory hole' 8". 4 tracks on a 7 inch limited to just 300 copies, definately some of the best stuff to be released by these screwed up sonic voyagers to date.
ANAL MASSAKER/ 2 MINUTA DREKA - split (RAW NOISE) - 4e, 230 den.
"ANAL MASSAKER AND 2MINUTA DREKA RETURN WITH THE MOST HARSH SEX MED GORE GRIND. TOTAL FUCKING INSANITY HERE! 5 songs from anal massaker totally bile, vomit inducing tracks hand numbered #208 why live without this? 2MINUTA DREKA are total shitbags. They follow in the tradition of GUT Libido AIRBAG CBT Mucupurulent includes harsh cover of "Vicious Act Of Machismo(Meat Shits cover)! ANTIMOB - s/t (SEPREND) - 4e, 230 den.
greek hardcore punk
AGATHOCLES/ BLOODRED BACTERIA - split (CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY) - 4e, 230 den.
Ultra-RAW and BLASTING power violence / extreme hardcore punk / grindcore of the ultimate severity!
AGATHOCLES/ SMG - split (DIY CONSPIRACY) - 4e, 230 den.
GATHOCLES, as you should know by now, are Belgium's mincecore kings. With dozens, maybe even dozens of dozens of releases under their belts dating as far back as the 80's. Enough said. SMG are Malaysia's grind glory men and they pay homage to their mince friends with an AG cover. For fans of INTESTNIAL DISEASE, AGx, and CORNUCOPIA.
AMBULANCE - "dawn of a new beginning" (CIVILISATION) - 4e, 230 den.
This is already the third full release of this swedish HC/Punk band (following their first S/T EP, the “The End Of Time” LP/CD and some sonx on compilations). After their LP some line-up changes occured, AMBULANCE hasn´t female vocals anymore (saddly) and now Sylen from HUMAN WASTE, 365 DAGAR AV SYND takes up the vocals part. Their sound still is modern, heavy, metallic but melodic Skandi D-Beat HC/Punk, nowadays you can call it Neo-Crust. The sonx are full of intense moments filled up with depressions and dark emotions. Taking the best parts of northern european HC/Punk bands like VICTIMS, DISKONTO and mix it up with US bands like FROM ASHES RISE, REMAINS OF THE DAY, ... .
AMONG THE MISSING/ BUMSNOGGER - "bum the missing" (CALCULON) - 5e, 300 den.
Side A is taken up by Bumsnoggers contribution and is a great progression from their debut EP And Destroy All Those That Come Before Us. Its just fucking nasty. Two great examples of how a combination of strong booze and a bad attitude can result in gloriously loud and filthy music. Bumsnogger may have an appalling name, but their twisted sludge is guaranteed to send you creaming towards the off-licence. Among The Missing are altogether darker and more unhinged, like a council estate Black Flag whacked out on 'ludes. Doom-laden fun for all the family.
ANTIBODIES - "concrete rockers go uptown" (CHOKING HAZARD) - 4e, 230 den.
Antibodies are from the UK and sound like something off of Dangerhouse Records... there are elements of the dark punk of the Dead Kennedys, the Weirdos or even the UK Subhumans. If you think that the Regulations nailed the late 70s California sound then get this for a serious reality check.
ANTICHRIST/ DYSMORFOBIA - split (TRUJACA FALA) - 3.5e, 200 den.
Much heavier, but still fast and raging screaming furious hardcore by Antichrist and one long and heavy industrial punk track on Dysmorfofobia side.
  ARCHAGATUS/ SMG - split (selfreleased) - 4e, 230 den.
" SMG IS A POWER TRIO, VERY CRASHY AND NO-COMPROMISE GRINDNOISE FROM MALAYSIA, BIG SURPRISE!!! ARCHAGATUS PAY A STRONG DEBT TO ROT AND AGX, MINCE GRIND CORE FOR THIS CANADIAN BAND."

sweden vs spain, crust mangel

ASFIXIA - s/t (STONEHENGE) - 4e, 230 den.
First 7" ep for this band from the spanish basque country (Bilbao). A emo HC punk that reminds us alot of the first Unhinged songs. Very tense female vocals that gets the air on your arm stiking up.A very nice production in double colored vinyl with political lyrics that reminds me the good times of early ninties crust punk. This is a limited edition so move your ass and get this.

BLACK PYRAMID - s/t (ELECTRIC EARTH) - 4e, 230 den.

This band brings the doom with an emphasis on the big blues of Sabbath, Sleep and Earthride. This 7" is the first official release and contains a re-recorded version of ’Visions of Gehenna’, wich was the opener for their 2007 demo. Side B hosts a new epic song ’Caravan’. This repress is re-masterd and comes with new artwork, limited and handnumbered to 500.
BRAIN DEAD - "priest killer" (FEAST OF TENTEACLES) - 4e, 230 den.
"Another stellar release from Leicester's Brain Dead, although if you've got their previous releases, you pretty much know what you're going to get, which is pissed off, negative, Infest-style hardcore that stops and starts all over the place. This time round there's an anti-religious bent to the lyrics."
BRAIN DEAD/ ROT IN HELL - split (FEAST OF TENTACLES) - 4e, 230 den.
Brain Dead play fast hardcore/powerviolence that's a bit like Lack Of Interest/Infest etc. Rot In Hell play Clevo-worship heavy hardcore how it should be done, like Systems Overload meets the first Catharsis 7".
BRRR - s/t (ROKLOK) - 4e, 230 den.
Taking nods from indie pop wonders such as Mt. Eerie and Thanksgiving, Brrr provide the perfect rainy day soundtrack with their memorable, melancholic vocals and the cast of wandering accompainment of strings, horns and various percussion. This 7 inch is limited to 300 with 100 on clear vinyl with beige labels with blue ink all packaged in sweet handscreened cover.

BUMBKLAAT - s/t (SLAVES TO DARKNESS)- 4e, 230 den.
crusty moshy hardcore
CALAVERA - "ideal/spleen" (multiple labels) - 3.5e, 230 den.
No punk or hardcore here. Calavera is a French band who plays political hiphop. These new songs are darkest than their previous releases and their society’s attack is now more under a personal approach. Great artwork, the lyrics are translated in English and Spanish.
CAVE IN - "anchor" (MAGIC BULLET) - 4e, 230 den.
ANTENNA's first single "Anchor" plus the rarity "Harmless, Armless" AKA "Minus World"
CHARGER/ BLACK EYE RIOT - split (CALCULON) - 4e, 230 den.
This limited coloured vinyl brings together Stoke-On-Trent sludge giants Charger and the harsh-punk of Swansea's Black Eye Riot.
- Charger's "the amputee" opens at a furious pace which is opposed to their usual lurching sludge. The cacophonous vocals rage over the raw production before the song devolves into a dirge that reminds me of Fistula and gives me the sensation of being crushed. after the song has ended it is like a bomb has gone off and feedback is all that remains in the smoky aftermath.
- Black Eye Riot's two tracks are pure unadulterated hardcore punk violence - a collision of aggro, bruises and bitterness. "Battered by elephants" is like Discharge on crack trying to control a gas tanker with no brakes - loud and lethal. the production is of similar quality to their full length and couldn't be more suited to the band's style. i made some notes while listening to this and the final comment was "ear holes have been raped"... Load of Noise Magazine.
CLANCY 6/ VINCENT PRICE'S ORPHAN POWERED DEATH MACHINE - split (McCARTHYISM) - 4e, 230 den.

CRESTFALLEN - s/t - 4e, 230 den.
Five high-energy tracks of fast and passionate punk-influenced metallic hardcore. Good ol' fist-raising, circle-pit-inducing music at it's finest with an undeniable grind influence and plenty of epic melodic parts to keep you on your toes, and guest vocal apperances from VA's finest (Pig Destroyer's JR Hayes, pageninetynine's Chris Taylor). The beautiful and haunting artwork is housed in a gatefold paperboard pack and perfectly conveys the youthful energy put into this recording. Members of pg99 played on this, and members of Crestfallen went on to form/join Wildildlife, Heavens, Pygmy Lush, Haram, Dead To Me, C-Rex, Hollywood and about a million more.

yugoslavian apocalyptic crust
DE NOVISSIMIS/ TUNGUSKA - split (DIY CONSPIRACY) - 4e, 230 den.
"Fucking great split single with two bands that were new to me, Tunguska and De Novissimis. Both bands share the same city; Dublin, Ireland. The side I put on first was the one from De Novissimis, which blew me away with some very grimm vocals on top of dark, powerfull, blasting sludgy metal riffs. When the song reaches its middle point, they crack down in some slow, meaty sludge core that has the right atmosphere: negative, evil and heavy. De Novissimis only provide one song on their side, but it's a ferocious one. On the other side we find Tunguska, who share two songs with us. Just like De Novissimis I have the feeling that Tunguska wants to let the world/scene know what they're capable of. Result: no filler, all killer. The two songs of brutal, metallic hardcore has the same powerfull blasting capacity as their compagnons on the split. Tunguska speed everything up though. Pretty fast riffing and bombastic, yet fast drumming. Sometimes the atmosphere from their two songs reminded me of Buried Inside etc. At the end of the second song they include some more melodic, higher pitched guitars too (yet they stay brutal). Awesome 7"." MASHNOTE
DEPRESY MOUSE/ HIBOKUSHA - split (IMPREGNATE NOISE LABARATORIES) - 3.5e, 200 den.

DISRESPECT - "justice in a bag" (PROFANE EXISTENCE) - 4e, 230 den.
punk
DIVISIONS RUIN - s/t (DIY CONSPIRACY) - 4e, 230 den.
gloomy hardcore punk ala HHIG
DIVORCE - s/t (TSUNAMI) - 4e, 230 den.
Fast Southern-bred grind on the punk side of the fence, from Athens, Georgia. Dual vocals, which alternate, high and low; blasting drums: distorted riffs (quality style I might add); negative, frustrated lyrics: everything needed for a damn good grinding time. Get these boys some of that Swedish Grind production, I bet they would make for some great big huge monsters of grind then (think Godzilla size).
DOWN TO AGONY "requiem por un mundo enfermo" (ACCLAIM) - 4e, 230 den.
" The brand new 4 songs 7" from the Spanish powerful & crushing Neo-Crust hardcore-punk band who recorded after the first LP "No-Vida". This band is a sound that mixed His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy and Fear Is The Path To The Darkside"
DREADEYE - "this is for the newbreed" (WD SOUND) - 4e, 230 den.
amazing band from japan, sludgy hardcore, very recommended!
  DRY-ROT - "this is a forest b/w lumber yard" (DEER HEALER) - 6e, 360 den.
“This Is a Forest” adds up to movie credits lounge-ease wander, as a bloopy sine wave gets jiggled around on top. Unsung lyrics printed on the back promise suicide for a young, confused waif. “Lumber Yard” plays a bongcrushin' powerviolence riff and layers organ, pitch-shifted vocals, and electronics over it until the riff starts to sound more like an anthem than a menace. Its “lyrics” indicate that trees will rise up and use humans for furniture. In the spirit, but not the sound, of a band with an upcoming release on Painkiller, Dry-Rot would get points for even trying to subvert any dirge-like hardcore references, but the music within gently wields heavy hammers in an enthralling manner. Edition of 300. Part of a singles series.
EDWOOD - s/t (PERCE OREILLE) - 4e, 230 den.
french punk/hc band who mix fast and short songs with some more complex with an ‘’emo’’ or ‘’r’n’r’’ touch. Female/male vocals and some saxo parts. Lyrics talk about sexism, exploitation and all that kind of happy things.
‘’ this is a very unique band from France that combines a few different styles. They are female fronted using a combination of soothing vocal melodies over slow tempo almost new wave music with saxophones combined with a faster paced 80’s punk sound with a bit of screamed, but not harsh vocals. It’s a nice change of pace and a good way to get their strong socio/political lyrics across to people who may not like the grind/crust/trash type of thing. All of the songs are sung in French with translations in german, Spanish, English and two other language that I’m not quite sure of with a cover of ‘’bienvenue sur terre’’ by la fraction thrown in for good measure. Very nice indeed.’’ Profane existence n°47.
EL BASTARDO/ SLOMATICS - split (???) - 4e, 230 den.
Slomatics debut on vinyl here - along with El Bastardo - a track from each band. Slomatics are some guys that were previously in the mighty Naut and are from Belfast. They're more of a sludge laden Floor inspired creation than a speed feuled Sabbath attack that were The Naut, and lay out one track here (Pity the fool) that signifies why they are rated one of the most respected and talked about bands to emerge from the scene here in years.Pelican style dynamics and atmosphere with a heavy edge. El Bastardo can do now wrong in my book, this track is already a classic at the Rimbaud recs HQ, as it was previously on their probably impossible to get/so fuckin sorry you missed it are'nt ya? demo that kicked most ass from here to sunday. 'Dead at 30, Buried at 60' is one crushing piece of angry agro rock. You really need to check this shit out. They release an album later this year thats definately going to be in the top 5 rocking yet fucking with your head in an offensive way albums of the year.

EARTH DIED SCREAMING/ REIGN OF BOMBS - split (CAGE MATCH FEDERATION) - 3.5e, 200 den.
Two of Swedens most underrated D-beat bands shares a pice of plastic. Reign of Bombs more american influenced but with there feets still in Sweden, State of Fear and Totalitär kind of, people often also mentions that they are sounding like a good combination of Consume, Born/Dead and Sunday Morning Einsteins. Bombstrike on the other hand carry the quality that only can be marke with the stamp "Made In Sweden" we are speaking about high quality Swedish Hardcore in the same style as Skitsytem and Wolfbrigade. Get this Now if you like anything about sweden!

F: awesome noisy hardcore punk from japan, SR: long running euro thrashers
FROGSKIN/ TAUNT - split (STREAK) - 4e, 230 den.
Finally this nasty, alcohol imbued and drug-abusing cluster bomb is out soon! Each band one song. While both playing the same style of dirty, grooving sludge, they still emphasize their own approach and blend.
Taunt with a monumental, 1 riff based but very varied song that crumbles every piece of dope. Foaming with rage, Frogskin on the other hand blow out a rumbling blast of a song, spitting acid in nearly 8 minutes.
While Taunt are self-destructive and desperate, Frogskin concentrate on suffering, pain and anger.
Both smashing in the mud as hell, so fasten your seatbelts!
FUCKED UP - "dangerous fumes" (HATE) - 4e, 230 den.
This new single features two new tracks one of which is exclusive to this release and bound to cause a little commotion over its lyrical contents. Without getting into too many details, the song tackles one of society’s biggest taboos in that ‘fucked up’ kinda of way. Actually, it really doesn’t ‘tackle’ the subject at all but does definitely bring attention to it without taking a clear stand on the issue. "Dangerous Fumes" continues where their "Litany" 7" ep left off - killer hardcore punk.
FUNERAL - "cry of state desperation" (WHISPERS IN DARKNESS) - 4e, 230 den.

HALF GORILLA - "graceless beasts" (HALO OF FLIES) - 4e, 230 den.
Hailing from Milwaukee and having no other purpose than to blow through 5 tracks of harsh metal with the heaviness of Entombed and the verocity of Pig Destroyer. This will appeal to anyone into the forementioned and the current wave of Grind bands like Insect Warfare and Hatred Surge.
HARD TO SWALLOW/ MANFAT - split (FLAT EARTH) - 4e, 230 den.
"Wasn't so keen on the Manfat track on the recent "Means to an End" comp but these three tracks have won me over to their cause without hesitation. Grinding through their half of this split 7" with a disturbingly dark, malevolant sound, so thick you can suffocate yourself within it. As one of my all time favourite bands of the last couple of years I'm not going to harp on about how fucking awesome Hard To Swallow's side is. Just buy the fucker, already. One of the best split 7"s to come out of any country, anytime." land of treason
HATED PRINCIPLES / GORGONIZED DORKS - split (AGROMOSH) - 4e, 230 den.

HIS IRO IS GONE - "hope for sale" (TOFU GUERILLA) - 4e, 230 den
Awesome comnbination of powerful crust and burning spirits type hardcore with Tati of LOST WORLD on vocals. This is an exceptional EP and not to be missed!!!
